In this episode Co-Host Aniyha Jones and Professor Lamont Holden discuss gender inequity on campus and potential Title IX violations.

Professor Lamont Holden hosts Campus Culture. These are conversations that matter for the culture on college campuses across the nation and around the world. The show is recorded at the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center on campus at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Lamont Holden, also known as TheLetterLBeats is a music producer and Professor of Music Audio & Recording Technology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Music in the Fine & Applied Arts Department. He is also the producer of the “Illini Anthem” fight song remix for the University of Illinois Fighting Illini written & performed by Jarrel Young featuring The Marching Illini Directed by Barry L. Houser.

Aniyha Jones is a junior marketing major at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is also creator and host of the You’re Wrong, Sir Podcast that explores issues around sports marketing, business and politics.

“Title IX is a federal civil rights law in the United States of America that was passed as part of the Education Amendments of 1972. It prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or other education program that receives funding from the federal government”
